The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience supervising workers, operating landscape equipment, overseeing/working on landscaping projects, and maintaining client relationships. Landscape Technicians help preserve and enhance a client's landscape. To ensure success as a Landscape Technician you should be patient, nurturing, and thoroughly knowledgeable about vegetation.Job Tasks And ReaponsibilitiesThe major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that commonly make up the Landscape Technician job are shown below:Perform weekly lawn maintenance and landscape tasks for the clientPerform all duties of weekly lawn maintenance operations, which include trimming, mowing, edging, etc.Oversee the maintenance of lawns, shrubs, trees, etc.Execute periodic clean-upsEnsure that landscape quality is not reduced, and the lawn is monitoredTrim and prune shrubs and small treesPlan and implement landscaping projects.Repair and or enhance existing landscapesInstall new landscapesRun smooth operations, punctuality, safety, and quality controlDeliver work according to the contract specificationsOversee other landscaping personnelEnsure other crew members are operating equipment safely and efficientlyEnsure proper use of personal protective and safety equipment for yourself and othersAttend to concerns or questions with clients by forward to supervisorPlan and prepare for the next day's work at the end of each workdayLoading/unloading materials and equipmentClean and wash dirty equipment and return to the storage locationReport broken or damaged equipment to management immediatelyEnsure quality control.Plan work schedules.What kind of person are we looking for:A desire to grow, craves opportunity, loves problem solving and process improvementThe ability to run various types of large or small equipment, and someone who enjoys heavy lifting in various weather conditionsA Degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture is preferred but not requiredThe responsibility and independence to work autonomously if neededExcellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet client needsWhat is Required:Desire to work outdoorsA valid U.S Driver's license to operate service-line vehiclesMust be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.These physical demands described must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
