CHS, Inc is looking for a driven individual to join our Feed Mill team in Great Falls, MT as a Union Feed Operator. Daily you will receive feed ingredients by loading & unloading trucks, toting. This position offers overnight shift hours 11pm - 7:30am Monday - Friday, onsite training, and the opportunity to be a part of the largest cooperative in the U.S. Our feed mill is a key component in the formulation of the highest quality ingredients and all the essentials to improve health, performance and production. Short Description

• Salary Range: $24.34 per hr
• This is a union role. Wages are based on the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Operate the all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to CHS' quality assurance program regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during shift.
• Maintain accurate production and FDA records, entering data into Excel spreadsheet.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds to appropriate holding bins.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed.
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures, adhere to all safety & FDA requirements.
• Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, and customers.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 1+ years in Production and/or Operations

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in Mill operations, manufacturing, or similar
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings which may include the passing of a drug test.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable in damp, dusty, dry conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods
