Lead the design and management of transportation and natural resource engineering projects.
Involve NEPA permitting, engineering report writing, and construction management.
Coordinate with engineering staff, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Use of Design Software:
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for preparing project documentation.
Technical Communication:
Write technical reports, specifications, and correspondence for diverse audiences.
Collaboration & Approvals:
Coordinate with government agencies, clients, and other professionals to obtain design approvals.
Team and Project Management:
Manage internal teams and ensure projects are executed profitably.
Job Requirements:
Education:
BS/BA in Engineering or a related field.
At least 5+ years of experience in transportation or natural resource project design.
Licensure:
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana, Idaho, Washington, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
Project Oversight:
Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Oversee planning, design, and construction of projects, creating construction documents, and handling construction administration.
Independent & Team Work:
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
Strong Work Ethic & Engineering Understanding:
Excellent work ethic and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
