Overview:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to administration in the Deans Suite.



Responsibilities:

Assist in office clerical duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assists with general correspondence, memoranda, applications, and scheduling appointments
  • Responsible for front desk reception that includes answering incoming calls and welcoming students and visitors
  • Handles requests for assistance and potential questions; provides information and clarification
  • Fields all phone requests
  • Assists with letters and coordinates processing
  • Assists with preparation of files
  • Takes minutes for assigned Committee Meetings.
  • Assists with reports and maintains records
  • Compiles and tabulates statistical information
  • Performs special projects and assignments as requested by the Dean or Directors
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education/ Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year administrative experience

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Well organized
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
